“Footy for Fun”

The club embraces the Australian Masters Football philosophy of “Footy for Fun” and encourages all members to play football with in the spirit of the game.

Active Participation

The Gisborne Masters Football Club is a social footy club for men aged 35 and over. The club provides an opportunity for members to maintain a level of fitness through active participation in Australian Rules Football.

No Egos

Egos should be left at home at all times. Criticism of other player’s performance or abilities is not acceptable.

Respect

All members are encouraged to show respect for umpires and officials.

Disputing umpire’s decisions or abuse of umpires will not be tolerated.

On field fighting or bad language is unacceptable and will not be tolerated

Mateship

All club members are encouraged to look after their team mates both on and off the field

Support

Members are encouraged to support and show respect for club sponsors and their facilities

Family Friendly Atmosphere

The Gisborne Masters Football Club prides itself on its family friendly atmosphere and community involvement. Partners and children are welcomed at all games and social events throughout the year.

Welcoming Spaces

The club actively seeks out new players and members are encouraged to welcome all newcomers and their families and to reinforce the values of this code of conduct.
