Code of Conduct

  • The Gisborne Masters Football Club is a social footy club for men aged 35 and over. The club provides an opportunity for members to maintain a level of fitness through active participation in Australian Rules Football.

  • The club embraces the Australian Masters Football philosophy of "Footy for Fun" and encourages all members to play football with in the spirit of the game.

  • Egos should be left at home at all times. Criticism of other player's performance or abilities is not acceptable.

  • All members are encouraged to show respect for umpires and officials.

  • Disputing umpire's decisions or abuse of umpires will not be tolerated.

  • On field fighting or bad language is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.

  • All club members are encouraged to look after their team mates both on and off the field.

  • Members are encouraged to support and show respect for club sponsors and their facilities.

  • The Gisborne Masters Football Club prides itself on its family friendly atmosphere and community involvement. Partners and children are welcomed at all games and social events throughout the year.

  • The club actively seeks out new players and members are encouraged to welcome all newcomers and their families and to reinforce the values of this code of conduct.
